IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Intelligent Content Services 2024 Vendor Assessment

Google was positioned as a Leader in this 2024 report from IDC MarketScape which provides an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT suppliers in a given market. This report found that:

  • In recent IDC research in North America, almost two-thirds of respondents indicated that they had made content services investments in the past 12–18 months.
  • Of those, 39% invested to improve operational efficiency, and 31% said that investment was for a technology modernization effort, including a shift to the cloud.
  • In the same study, 74% of respondents said that it was somewhat or extremely likely that their organization would seek out solutions that incorporate GenAI for content-centric workflows and use cases in the next two to three years. 
  • Google Cloud has become increasingly effective, channeling its more than 3,000 research scientists across both Google Research and DeepMind into the commercialization of its research and product innovations. 
  • This includes efforts to build and expand GenAI and LLM capabilities across its content services and IDP solutions.
