Kaseya Expands AI-Powered Email Security with Acquisition of INKY

Kaseya has acquired INKY, a leading AI-driven email security platform, in a strategic move to strengthen and enhance their end-to-end cybersecurity platform for MSPs and SMBs.

Founded by tech industry veteran Dave Baggett in 2008, INKY uses generative AI, behavioral analysis, and real-time user coaching to stop phishing attacks, prevent impersonation, and protect against emerging threats such as conversation hijacking and QR-code phishing. Rather than simply blocking suspicious messages, the platform alerts users directly in their inboxes, helping them make safer decisions when handling potentially risky content.

Integrating INKY into Kaseya’s 365 User platform allows the AI-driven security tool to leverage Kaseya’s global data ecosystem. This combination enhances threat correlation, accelerates response times, and improves AI-powered insights, turning email into a proactive line of defense for MSPs and their clients.

“Kaseya is committed to being the indispensable partner that helps MSPs lead in this next chapter of IT and security,” said Kaseya CEO Rania Succar. “With INKY joining the Kaseya family, its powerful AI-driven email security becomes even more effective — informed by our platform’s data, integrated across our ecosystem, and available through Kaseya 365 User. Together, we’ll deliver the most connected and proactive security experience in the industry.”

Dave Baggett, Founder and CEO of INKY, added: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built at INKY — a product that has consistently stayed ahead of attackers by understanding intent, not just content. Joining Kaseya allows us to take that innovation to the next level. Kaseya’s scale, data, and commitment to R&D amplify everything we’ve created, helping us bring our technology to more customers and make email communication safer for everyone.”

INKY will remain available as a stand-alone product, while also being integrated into Kaseya 365 User, giving MSPs and IT teams flexibility in deployment. Features such as color-coded warnings for suspicious messages and advanced phishing detection have made INKY a standout in the email security market, helping organizations proactively defend against sophisticated social engineering attacks.

Why This Matters

Email continues to be a primary target for cyberattacks, especially for MSPs responsible for multiple client environments. By combining INKY’s AI-driven technology with Kaseya’s platform, organizations gain context-aware protections that reduce the risk of successful phishing and impersonation attacks.

The acquisition also reflects a growing trend in cybersecurity: embedding AI-powered safeguards directly into IT management platforms to provide centralized visibility, smarter threat prevention, and stronger overall protection for businesses of all sizes.
