nFront Password Filter Overview
The attached nFront Password MPE (Multi-Policy Edition) Filter would allow you to have up to 10 different password policies in the same Windows domain. Each policy can be associated with one or more security groups and/or OUs. The software also gives you the ability to exclude the service accounts and other non-human accounts. You can have customized strong password policies for Domain Administrators and those with access to more privileged information (HR records, credit card data, tax information). You can also associate less restrictive policies with other groups like "Mainframe Users." Each policy supports over 40 rules and includes the ability to perform dictionary blacklisting and checking against hacked passwords.
Our nFront Password Filter protects data integrity by establishing password policies that prevent the use of easily hacked passwords. This password enforcement tool is available for Windows Active Directory and Microsoft SQL servers.
